Bulldogs Earning Summer League All-Star Honors

ATHENS-----Here's another update of Georgia Bulldogs playing summer baseball around the country with several earning All-Star honors.
 
Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL)
 
Harwich: Aaron Schunk (.296-0-13) has been named a Cape Cod League All-Star after having an impressive summer mashing 21 hits in 17 games. Schunk ranks fourth on the Mariners in average and has been starting third baseman since arriving in the CCBL. Schunk is not slated to pitch this summer. The CCBL All-Star game is this Sunday in Harwich. Mason Meadows(.091-0-0) has played in 10 games and recorded 33 at-bats for the Mariners. Meadows picked up a hit and earned a walk in Sunday's 7-6 loss to Wareham.
 
Wareham: Will Proctor (2-1. 2.62 ERA)has turned in impressive work on the mound this summer for the Gatemen where he ranks second on the team in innings pitched (23.2) and fifth in strikeouts (18). Proctor has started four games and made two relief appearances. On July 13th, his most recent outing, Proctor allowed just one run in five innings of work, earning his second decision of the summer in an 8-2 win over Cotuit. 
 
Orleans: Zac Kristofak(1-0, 3.85 ERA) spent some time in the Cape Cod League earlier this summer finishing with six relief appearances tossing 9.1 innings. Kristofak struck out nine while limiting his opponents to just two extra base-hits. Kristofak picked up a win on June 22ndin a 10-3 defeat of Wareham. 
 
Coastal Plain League (CPL)
Lexington County: Connor Tate (.352-1-15) leads the Blowfish in games played (23), hits (31) doubles (7), and runs scored (22). Along with being named an All-Star, Connor recently was the All-Star game's MVP. He also ranks second in average, second in stolen bases (5) and third in RBI (15). His brother Cole Tate (.194-2-10)is second on the Blowfish in homeruns and has appeared in 17 games with 67 at-bats. Chaney Rogers (.197-1-11) is tied for the team lead in games played (23). Rogers has shown patience at the plate drawing 14 walks sporting a .330 on base percentage. C.J. Smith (.172-0-2)has played in 11 games this summer and tallied 29 at-bats. In 12 games Smith has also shown great plate discipline drawing 12 walks and leads the team in on base percentage at .442. He is only hitting this summer.
 
Macon: Riley King (.325-1-16) leads all members of the Bacon in batting average, games played (30), games started (29), hits (38), and doubles (10). King also ranks 9th in the Coastal Plain League for batting average. In the All-Star game, King went 2-3 with an RBI in a victory. Meanwhile, pitcher James Williams(2-1, 1.85) leads all qualified Coastal Plain League pitchers in ERA. Williams also leads all Bacon pitchers in strikeouts with 35. Fellow pitcher, Jordan Dubberly (0-2, 5.61 ERA) ranks 4th on the Bacon in strikeouts with 27. 
 
Peninsula: Tucker Maxwell (.254-2-5) continues to run wild on the basepaths as he is second on the Pilots in stolen bases with 10. Tim Elliott (1-1, 1.74 ERA) has done a fantastic job out of the bullpen for the Pilots. Elliott has only allowed two runs all season, and he has struck out 16. Christian Ryder (1-0, 5.48) has made seven appearances for the Pilots, with four being starts. 
 
Futures Collegiate Baseball League
 
Pittsfield: Patrick Sullivan (.301-1-10) is having a great summer at the plate. Sullivan leads his Pittsfield teammates in both slugging percentage (.479) and in walks (20). Sullivan was also named to the FCBL All-Star game that will be played on Tuesday, July 17th.
 
New England Collegiate Baseball League
 
Sanford: Austin Biggar (.268-3-6) ranks 4th on the Mainers in batting average. Between June 26 and July 12, Biggar had an eight game on-base streak.
 
Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League
 
Oneonta: Steven Minter (.295-3-14) is tied for the team lead in home runs with three. Minter's 21 runs scored is tied for 2nd most on the Outlaws. Minter along with Logan Moody (2-1, 2.76 ERA) have been recently named to the All-Star game that will be played on July 18. Moody leads the Outlaws in strikeouts with 24. Moody also ranks 2nd among starting pitchers in ERA.
